09005 - The week of hell
Ok, so, I have finished the 1st "Week of Hell". It was spiced up with constant pains and aches.
My knees hate me. My muscles are mush.Have you ever cried trying to hold up the remote to change the channel?... Me neither... ;-)
During training I had constant dizziness, but luckily no nausea. My vision kept getting blurred and black and white during the sessions, but that disappeared, like around 15 minutes after the end of the training.
I was asking my friends, if they know any method of getting rid of muscle sores. Here are some answers:
"Welcome to my world..." - well, that's helpful :-)
"Take aspirin for it, after all, it is for muscle aches too..." - but I hate drugs.
"Take cold showers immediately after training." - I hate cold water, and there are no showers in the park, where I go for training. Now I do not say this does not work. You can try it if you like cold water...
After some reading on the Internet I have discovered that there are solutions for the problem. For example I have read, that taking glutamine after training would help. I tried it and it works. It did not take away all the pains and aches, but I can actually sit down and stand up again without some dirty side effects...
I have also read, that proper nutrition helps as well. I will investigate this further and I will report back.
So what have I learned this week? Well, I'm a long way away from my goal of being 190 lbs "Lean and Mean Muscle Machine", but I took the first few shaky steps, and I did not die in the process... Now, this is cause for celebration.
