09002 - Heal your injuries faster
An undeniable fact of life: People get hurt. We bump into things, miss-step, strain and/or bruise things... you name it. Some are more, some less but everyone had some kind of injury in their lifetime.
Wouldn't you be happy to speed up the healing process? I would! And the secret is, I do! I know how to achieve this unbelievable task, and now I will share it with you.
Use "Hot and Cold Therapy".
In a nut shell, "Hot and Cold Therapy" consist of dipping your hurt body part into ice cold water for a minute, than alternate to hot water (meaning as hot as you can stand without actually burning yourself) for a minute, at least seven times back and forth.
There are variations to this, where you would use an ice-cold gel pack from the freezer, and a hot gel pack from the microwave, but the key is still the same, one minute cold and 1 minute hot, back and forth, for 14 minutes or more.
Now, here is the why.
First try this. Put your hand under cold water. You will feel your skin getting a little smaller, a little rigid and very tight. All the blood rushes away from the cold. Your hand is getting stimulated. Now put your hand under hot water. You can feel your pores loosen, your skin relax and blood rushing in. Everyone knows that hot water relaxes.
In fact, with this little exercise, you have just increased circulation to your hand. When the blood rushes in, it brings oxygen and vital nutrition to the cells. It helps to repair the damage and rebuild your injury into healthy tissue. By getting the blood rush away it takes away the dead cells, and helps to clean away all the waste. The hot and the cold work together like a great little built in pump, to help increase your circulation.
With the "Hot and Cold Therapy" you are effectively speeding this process up, and in turn you speed up the healing. In other words, the result of the increased circulation is a faster recovery from your injuries.
One more tip: after the hot and cold therapy, if your injury is not an open wound, you can put a few drops of Deep Tissue Repair Oil on it and try to lightly massage it in. It will also give you a feel of alternating Hot and Cold. If you have an open wound, you can try to put it around the wound and lightly massage it around the wound.
Just do it. You will definitely benefit from it.
