08001 - The new start
I have started the research.
First things first. I will have to start to move more! To this effect I went out and bought my very first pair of roller blades.
Now, that is a scary thought. Over 40, and trying to learn to roller blade from scratch. But look at the bright side. I do not have unbreakable bad habits relating to this type of exercise. I guess I feel adventurous. Let's hope that I will not be the laughing stock of all those people in the park...
Now, if you are thinking on starting some kind of movement (pun intended) on your own, do not worry, simply, starting a daily walking regime would suffice first.
Being on the subject of research: after digging through a few hundred web pages, I have found this book called the Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle. This is the first genuine looking book that seems worthwhile buying. So I have ordered it. We will see if it helps after reading it.
If I understand correctly, the author claims that he refuses to endorse any pills and supplements, because he believes that they are all crap.
I will read his book and report back here to let you know if it is for real or not.
